Draw yourself and another with expressive lines and colors in this online sketchbook class.

You’ll work from your own reflection in a mirror as you study the basic proportions of the head along with other building blocks, such as shadow shapes, line, and color.  This study will be expanded upon as you create portrait sketches from an online model.

A variety of media will be used, including color inks or watercolor, gouache, water-soluble crayons, conté crayon, and charcoal.  Being an expressive sketchbook class, the focus will be on how color, line and texture conveys personality and character, rather than studying anatomy.  Some drawing experience is recommended.

Model fee included.
