Supply List

Sketchbooking is largely about experimentation, and that’s what this class is all about.  The Art Principles and More is a five-week class that explores how the art elements are used to convey ideas such as atmosphere, viewpoint, and scale in your sketches.  The subjects you will draw range from still life arrangements, landscapes, photos and some abstraction.  Drawing media includes: conté crayon, charcoal, opaque watercolor, and collage materials.

Some drawing experience is recommended. This course aims to expand your expressive visual vocabulary and encourage a dynamic sketchbook practice.

Fugate has taught expressive drawing and painting classes and workshops in Seattle, as well as international workshops for over 25 years.
