Using color to create connections between things is a powerful tool in art. Colors can move us emotionally, challenge our perception of things, and surprise us, too. Enjoy three sessions of sketchbook experiments that explore ways to use color expressively with purpose and feeling.
The three color connection strategies in this class include: patterns, contrast, composition, and depth of space. The subject matter will include figures, landscapes and still life arrangements. You’ll work in sketchbooks using a variety of wet and dry media, including gouache, watercolor, water-soluble crayons, pencils and conté crayon.
This class is open to all levels, with some drawing experience recommended.
