Discover how to move between representation and abstraction in this 3-week class with award-winning artist Anton Nowels. Attain an understanding how to paint large scale en plein from setup to completion. Discover how let go of representation and play with composition and color to achieve more inventive work outdoors . Class will include discussions of colorist including: Joan Mitchell, Richard Diebenkorn, Monet, Charles Hawthorne, Henry Hensche, Hans Hoffman and Josef Albers. Anton will demonstrate how painting large scale. All levels welcome.
