Create landscapes at the magical beginning and end of day, the time of rich color, warm light, and long shadows. Participants can make paintings plein air or from photographs. Amy will demonstrate the landscape painting in her studio, but will reference many images from her local landscape.

Session 1: Beginning of Day Landscapes
Session 2: End of Day Landscapes

Participants can work in oil or acrylic, as well as pastel. Amy will demonstrate in oil and provide specific instruction for each session. All posted work will be given feedback.

Amy Brnger, from Eliot, Maine, has painted still life, flowers, interiors and landscape for as long as she has been an artist. Nature is her vehicle, and she enjoys painting places and things with and about which she is familiar or curious. Forgotten and overlooked places are particularly intriguing. Flowers from her garden are also a favorite. Her paintings are expressive, energetic, and attempt to capture the changing nature of living things.

Amy has been teaching painting since 2012, but has been a painter for over 35 years. Thanks to the Coronavirus, she finally learned how to teach online and loves it. www.amybrnger.com

About Our Online Classes:

This class is taught live via Zoom. To take this class, you need a microphone and camera enabled computer OR an iPad /smart tablet OR a smart phone (android or IOS) and a strong internet connection.
Interact with the instructor and other participants, watch live demos and receive feedback and instruction. You will have access to a class chat forum on our website where you can share work, comment and ask questions.
Class will be recorded and recordings expire 60 days after the final day of the course.
