Train your eye to create focal areas in your work by breaking free of painting exactly what you see. Smaller works are a joy to paint and can also can benefit your art if you wish to paint larger! Working landscape images we will explore ways to add, shift or subtract elements from your original image/s. Each week two images will be provided in advance of each class to paint from or paint using your own. Angles and color temperature will also be explored to heighten the focal area/s for the most impact. This is your chance to “make it your own” and in your own style. Feel free to work in a water based medium of your choice and practice working no larger than 6 x 8 or 8 x 10 inches.
