Working in gouache or acrylics, explore important elements of color and composition in this 3-week class with Brian McPhee. Students will work in their sketchbooks to create simple studies of a landscape, a still-life and a portrait with a focus on understanding value contrast and breaking down shapes and local color. Class will include weekly demos and critiques.
