Sharon Grader

Exploration and experimentation are major elements of Sharon Grader’s artistic journey of discovery. She is an abstract encaustic painter drawn to the elemental aspects of molten wax. She often works with found objects, dyed silk, rusted paper, encaustic monoprinting, watercolor, oil, and pastels. She is fascinated with the creative process and the constant wonder that surprises her every day. Her work is disciplined, yet free and unexpected, calm and thought provoking. She is a graduate of the Artist Trust Edge program and a member of Women Painters of Washington. You can find her work at the Lynn Hanson Gallery, Pioneer Square, Seattle.
