Sarah B. Hansen – Perspective without the Headache (Online); Friday, November 13, 2026

Medium: Useful to artists of all mediums – Sarah will work in watercolor and pencil
Class Date: Friday, November 13, 2026
Class Times:
• 2:00 pm-3:30 pm Pacific time
• 5:00 pm-6:30 pm Eastern time
• 10:00 pm-11:30 pm UK time

Join award-winning artist Sarah B. Hansen for a fun, practical demonstration that takes the mystery out of perspective. Whether you’re traveling, hiking, or simply capturing a scene in your sketchbook, you’ll learn quick and easy methods for using one-point and two-point perspective to create believable depth without getting lost in technical details.

Through simple exercises and demonstrations, Sarah will show how a few basic perspective principles can strengthen both architectural and landscape subjects. Learn to sketch buildings, streets, and details with confidence, then apply those same concepts to roads, fences, rivers, tree lines, and other landscape features that naturally guide the viewer’s eye through a painting.

Designed for artists who want to loosen up rather than draw precisely, this demonstration focuses on practical techniques you can use immediately in the field or the studio. Whether you’re painting urban scenes, barns, mountain landscapes, or rural backroads, you’ll leave with a stronger understanding of perspective and the confidence to incorporate it naturally into your paintings. Sarah will be demonstrating in pencil and watercolor. Useful for any medium.
