As artists, working within limitations sparks creative problem-solving. By asking ourselves, “What if…?” we are giving ourselves prompts to guide how we approach a painting. This two-session Abstracting the Landscape class explores prompts that artists use in their work and the resulting creative possibilities that ensue. Students will work with a variety of prompts and be encouraged to come up with their own. Open to all oil and acrylic painters who are willing to let go, experiment and take chances!
