Charles Spitzack – Mokuhanga: Japanese Woodblock Print Demo (Recording)

Experience the beauty of mokuhanga, traditional Japanese woodblock printing, in this 1-hour live demo. Watch as a finished carved block is brought to life with water-based inks and delicate Japanese paper.

This brief session focuses solely on the printing process, showing how layers of color and texture are applied to create a finished print. It’s a perfect way to observe the technique, appreciate the craftsmanship, and gain inspiration for your own printmaking practice.

Ideal for anyone curious about Japanese woodblock art, this demo offers a concise, engaging glimpse into mokuhanga.
