In Abstracted Skies, we’ll move beyond traditional landscapes and explore the sky as a field of emotion, color, and movement. Guided by Anton Nowels, this workshop invites artists of all levels to experiment with abstraction, transforming clouds, light, and atmosphere into bold compositions that capture mood rather than realism.

Through a series of dynamic exercises, you’ll learn to:

• Layer and blend color to evoke light, depth, and energy
• Use gesture, texture, and mark-making to suggest motion
• Simplify natural forms into abstract shapes and rhythms
• Develop a personal palette inspired by the ever-changing sky

By the end of the session, you’ll leave with one or more expressive sky paintings and a deeper understanding of how abstraction can transform your approach to landscape art.
