Make colorful, multi-layered woodcut prints in this 3 week workshop!

This workshop explores the foundations of woodcut printmaking and delves into the expressive possibilities of layered color to create rich, dynamic imagery.

Taking after the great woodcut artists of the Arts and Crafts movement of the early 20th century (ex: Baumann, Gearhart, Rice), embark on a creative journey in this dynamic woodcut printmaking workshop! You’ll craft vibrant, multi-layered prints while learning the techniques of designing, carving, and aligning color layers. We’ll be hand-printing on fine Japanese washi using Safe Wash Relief Inks—ideal for home use with easy soap-and-water cleanup. Designed with beginners in mind, this class also welcomes advanced students and offers personalized guidance for all skill levels.

Experimentation is encouraged. All levels welcome!
