Becoming in tune with the visual repetition within the natural world is a valuable means to bringing a sense of rhythm and compositional balance to your paintings. This class will focus on pulling imagery from the landscape to emphasize the formal aspects of painting – shape, color, and edge. Open to all oil and acrylic painters who are willing to let go, experiment and take chances!
We’ll look at a broad range of painters whose work balance representation and abstraction, as well as discuss artistic possibilities through our materials/tools, and color palette strategies.
