Cut paper collage is a great way to explore composition. You can move your pieces around and try various layouts before committing to their placement. In this technique takeaway Jane will demonstrate her approach to painting papers, cutting shapes, and then making abstract collages, all with a focus on exploring composition.  She will show you about a million examples of cut paper collage from dozens of artists, along with resources for further exploration. • Acrylic paint
• Cheap drawing paper
• Bristol paper
• Acrylic matte medium 
• Brushes
• A Squeegee
• Palette knife for mixing colors
• Disposable palette

 Jane Davies is a full-time painter. Beginning as a potter in the early nineties, Davies transitioned into freelance art, using painting and collage as her medium. Since 2010 she has been teaching abstract painting workshops nationwide and online, as well as making art full time.
