You will learn how to:
• Work with a simple palette and mix your own colors
• Make your own stencils out of mylar or cardboard
• Create a placement print on a piece of clothing, apron or tea towel
• Repeat a design to create a basic or half drop pattern
• Design a printed patch to stitch onto a garment
This is a beautiful and simple technique that you can use to create personalized gift items for the holidays like tea towels, eye pillows, tote bags, aprons, etc. You will love this technique and want to print on everything you own! See you in class!
Lucie Duclos is a designer, art instructor and mixed media artist living in Victoria, British Columbia. She teaches online classes on Skillshare and CourseCraft and has taught over 15,000 students between the 2 platforms. She works with a lot of different mediums and techniques from pen and ink to watercolor, printmaking, encaustics, collage, acrylics, gouache and bookmaking.
She was the cover artist for UPPERCASE magazine issue 41 and has been a guest speaker on several international podcasts. You can find her fabrics and wallpaper design on Spoonflower.
