Too often watercolorists can get stuck in a ‘tight’ representational rut. This 4 week course introduces the freedom and joy of painting in a fast & loose style. Suitable for artists of all skill levels, techniques will explore movement and expression, showing how to develop the essence of a scene by suggestion, rather than slavishly following a reference photo. Additional critique sessions are scheduled to give each student the feedback and review they need to gain skill and confidence. Embrace the excitement of wet & wild watercolor!
Cynthia Armstrong holds a graduate certificate degree from UC Santa Cruz in Science Illustration and a Master’s degree in Education from Stanford University. She has been a freelance illustrator and artist for over 25 years, and a teacher for the past 20 years. Cynthia, as a published illustrator, has traveled and journaled extensively throughout her career.
