Join Martin Campos, Tracy Everly and Gage Opdenbrouw for this one-of-a-kind experience! This class brings three award-winning artists together to share their plein air painting approaches, motivations and techniques.
Week one will be an introduction session with all three instructors giving slide-shows and discussing their approach to plein air painting. Weeks two through five will each be instructed by a different artist individually who will give a slide show and lead us through a critique group/discussion forum. The final week, all three instructors will come together for in-depth critique and discussion.
Please Note: Participants will not paint during class time. Participants and instructors will paint en plein air throughout the week between sessions and discuss the paintings produced.
Arcenio Martin Campos studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. He has taught workshops in South Africa, Ireland, New Zealand and Spain. He is currently based in the Delaware Valley region, working in Philadelphia, and is dedicated to impressing upon every student his enthusiasm and drive with what the form presents and inspire those who strive to document the human condition.
Tracy Everly is an award-winning painter. She has studied occasionally at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, but she is also largely self-taught, having put together her own educational path held together by dogged determination and love of art.
Her teaching objective is to create a positive educational, empowering students to take risks, ask questions and pursue their own individual artistic path. Her method involves sharing her own artistic process fully and openly, aiming to help students build tangible foundational skills and to offer guidance about materials, but she also focuses on mindset and thought process as important aspects of creating art. tracyeverly.com
