Tracy Everly - The One-Hour Painting "Warm-Up" - Demo & Paint-Along (Recording) - Free!

Date recorded: Wednesday, September 22, 2021

Join Tracy Everly in her studio as she paints a still life from direct observation. Tracy’s goal will be to see how far she can get in this one-hour demo. Bypassing any kind of planning, this kind of quick painting exercise may be used as a warm-up before an extended painting session, as the start of a painting you continue to work on, or as a fun way to let go of expectations and accept what happens. Fell free to watch or work along. If  you would like to paint along, set up any still life in your studio and have paint and materials ready, or paint from the photo of Tracy’s setup that will be provided. You will have access to Tracy’s materials list.

Tracy Everly is an award-winning painter. She has studied occasionally at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, but she is also largely self-taught, having put together her own educational path held together by dogged determination and love of art.

Her teaching objective is to create a positive educational, empowering students to take risks, ask questions and pursue their own individual artistic path. Her method involves sharing her own artistic process fully and openly, aiming to help students build tangible foundational skills and to offer guidance about materials, but she also focuses on mindset and thought process as important aspects of creating art.
