Create still life and landscape paintings in the studio using photo references. The camera can be deceiving and often fails to capture what we see. Teaching artist Sylvia Carlton will offer live demos, exercises and one-on-one critiques to help you look past the photo and create a more dynamic painting. In this 4-week class, learn techniques for simplifying and editing composition; understanding values and color in shadows and achieving color saturation and harmony when painting light. Work on developing a color pallet to make your painting come alive.
