In this class, students will:

  • learn how different surfaces impact reflections
  • explore best practices when painting water
  • discover tips and techniques for color mixing and application
  • complete a painting together, step by step


Sue Dion’s passion for painting and her contagious enthusiasm have made her a highly sought-after instructor for over 20 years.  Sue is a member of the teaching faculty at the Worcester Art Museum, a Gamblin Demo Artist and a popular presenter and instructor for regional and national arts organizations.  Sue has studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and The Art Institute of Pittsburgh as well as with many artists whose work she admires. Sue’s delightfully loose paintings are created in acrylic, oil and watercolor and can be found in public and private collections worldwide.

About Our Online Classes:

  • This class is taught live via Zoom. To take this class, you need a microphone and camera enabled computer OR an iPad /smart tablet OR a smart phone (android or IOS) and a strong internet connection.
  • Interact with the instructor and other participants, watch live demos and receive feedback and instruction. You will have access to a class chat forum on our website where you can share work, comment and ask questions.
  • Class will be recorded and recordings expire 30 days after the final day of the course.
