Join watercolor artist Sue Dion for this seasonal watercolor paint-along. Learn how to paint holly berries and holly leaves in watercolor to use for creating holiday cards, gifts and ornaments. A simple template will be available to download or you may use your own drawings. Watch or bring your supplies and paint-along!

Suggested Supplies:

WATERCOLORS- Keep it simple and use what you have (Sue’s Recommended Colors:  Permanent Rose, Cadmium Yellow Light or Aurelian, Cobalt or Cerulean Blue, Viridian, Dioxazine Purple, Cadmium Orange)


  • Use what you have –Suggested-(rounds or flats and a script liner if you have it)
  • WATERCOLOR PAPER* 140 lb. cold press is my standard choice.   2 pieces cut to 5” X 7” 
  • Masking Fluid (optional)
  • Paper Towels 
  • Sharpee (or another permanent Ultra Fine Marker)
  • Spritzer bottle 
  • Blow dryer 
  • Two sketches to print and transfer to two (2) pieces of 5 X 7 watercolor paper prior to class DOWNLOAD HERE (1) and HERE (2). You can use graphite paper to transfer the downloaded images to watercolor paper or you can hand draw them.
