“This painting was also inspired by a recent visit to the Everglades National Park in Homestead, Florida. Capturing the beauty of the time of day was my objective. I wanted to depict the contrast between the softer colors in the sky and water reflections against the thick growth of the swamp. I built up my layers with cold wax to get more translucency in the sky and water. I love the feeling of this very special place!”
