Capture the richness of Autumn with ink and watercolor using easy techniques and portable materials. Seed pods, colorful leaves, cones, and fall flowers will be your subject matter as you learn how to accurately and loosely render nature up close. Working from actual plant material that you provide you will be guided in an intuitive approach to sketching with pen and layering watercolor washes. Fun warm-up exercises at the start of each session will provide you with skills that can be applied to everyday sketching.
Working on toned paper, the use of colored pens, and page design will also be considered in the creation of a nature journal to record the changing seasons.
This is a wonderful way to document the change of seasons in your own garden or the natural world nearby!
A simple supply list is available at registration. All levels welcome. This class will be recorded.
