Painting darkness can be intimidating for many painters leaving them with more questions than answers. Where do I start? What colours do I use? Isn’t it all just black? How do I capture the quiet mystery of moonlight?

In this workshop, artist David Sharpe will show you how he approaches his personal form of nocturne painting – his design, colour and surface manipulation with an emphasis on technique.
