In this class, you’ll learn traditional methods of value and color while exploring ways to fill your pet portraits with personality and bring them life. Explore all aspects of painting, from the beginning drawing to the finished work. This class will provide an overview of paint mixing and direct application. Working in the alla prima or “wet- on-wet” painting style, Dana Aldis will show you her techniques for capturing animals’ expressions and features. Learn how to:

  • start paintings on toned ground
  • block in with confidence
