As summer wanes and autumn weather offers up the fruits of fall, mushrooms pop up overnight in every locale. Fungi come in many diverse forms, often in striking shapes and colors, providing a wonderful subject for painting.
In this 4-week course, explore the shapes and textures of mushrooms while learning the fundamentals (and beyond) of watercolor techniques. Color theory, brush handling, traditional and alternative paint application methods will be covered. Suitable for artists of all skill levels. We will be working from fresh subjects (if available ), as well as photo references, to approach composition and design. Have fun this fall with fungi!
