Discover how to take the fear out of your creative process and explore ways for trusting your intuition in this 4-week class with mixed media artist Billie Bourgeois. Through guided exercises, Billie will share her intuitive approach to abstraction and help you in discovering how to expand your creative thinking and approaches to mark making. This workshop will benefit beginners, as well as experienced painters who want to loosen up, get out of a rut, or just break into something different. You will create paintings that you never imagined and have fun doing it!
Billie Bourgeois is a Southern Louisiana native and lifelong inhabitant. The Mississippi River, the marshes and swamps, fish, crawfish, shrimp, leaf patterns and textures, floral abundance, dripping humidity and intense heat are all a part of her personal geography and het intuition. Billie’s backyard is her private jungle garden, complete with goldfish, frogs, a myriad of birds, lizards, and an occasional snake or two. This quiet space, punctuated by sounds of rain and creatures, is a spiritual habitat that she shares in her work. Billie is represented by Ann Connelly Fine Art Gallery in Atlanta, Lee Small Fine Art Designs, Dallas and Bee Street Gallery, Dallas/Fort Worth.
