Very Exciting Class! Designing a painting of one or more people, with the context being an integral part of the picture. Faces and gesture. Intentional color schemes. Application of design principles. Using multiple reference images to create a cohesive result. Tangents on creative process. Occasional poetry. Plan on doing several small assignments and one larger painting each term.
Like most of Aimee’s classes, this one is open to all levels. Aimee encourages her students to adapt assignments to their own level. She wants you to be challenged and engaged without being overwhelmed, and to build on what you already know. It’s like yoga!
Class sessions are a mix of utterly fascinating lecture and instructional review of student work.
